Beach Boys announce Aussie tour dates
The Beach Boys will tour Australia in August as part of their 50th anniversary world tour.
The recently reformed band will play Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth from August 28 to September 6, promoter Paul Dainty confirmed on Sunday.
The Beach Boys, who kicked off their world tour in New Orleans in April, will perform some of their biggest hits for Australian fans.
The show will also include their latest work from the band's new studio album That's Why God Made The Radio.
Songs by the band - formed in California in 1961 - have become the world's favourite soundtrack to summer. Their hits include Surfin' USA, Surfer Girl, I Get Around, Help Me Rhonda and California Girls.
The Beach Boys were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988.
Tickets for the Australian tour go on sale through Ticketek on Wednesday, June 13.
